Storyline: American composer Tom Ricks comes to Paris done as a last resort to put his life together another time and win back the love of his estranged wife and daughter. When things dress in't go according to plan, he ends up in a shadowy hotel in the suburbs, having to operate as a night guard to mould ends meet. Then Margit, a fine, mysterious stranger walks into his life and things spasm looking up.
